No.
If I need a lawyer to defend me in court, can Ask a Lawyer help?
Maybe.
If the brief legal service at the Ask a Lawyer session is not enough to resolve your problem and it is determined that your case is meritorious, the Moran Center will refer your case to a Panel of Evanston attorneys, who may take on meritorious cases pro bono. There is no guarantee that a member of the Panel will take on your case, but it is possible.
If I have questions about the Ask a Lawyer Program, who should I contact?
Please contact Naria Santa Lucia, (847) 492-1410 or nsantalucia@moran-center.org with any questions or concerns.
What do I need to bring with me to Ask a Lawyer?
Please bring all documents related to your case such as: court pleadings, correspondence from an attorney, government agency, bank, mortgage company, or other person related to your case, medical records documenting the illness if related to your case, etc. Also, bring information related to your weekly, monthly or annual income so we can determine if you qualify for our service.
